ENDING WELL.

There's this game I love playing on my small Nokia phone, Rapid Roll. I had the highest score set at 4247. I was playing this game yesterday and I'd lost 2 lives before I could score 100. I wanted to restart the game but I kept playing on with the extra/bonus life. At the end of everything, guess what? I surpassed the previously set highest score and set a new one at 4616. It all began with an extra life. So I decided to do it again, lost 2 lives before I scored 100, and continued playing with the extra life, but that time, I couldn't even reach 1000. So I tested it one more time, this time around I made sure I did not lose any life before 500, then tried to beat the already set score but lo and behold it was over before 3000. Three different tests, three different results but only one observation- that you can start anyhow and end anyhow. Though starting itself can only be in two ways, so also ending. Well and bad, it can never be in any other way or in between both.

TOMORROW IS NOT GUARANTEED

Coach Antwon Taylor wanted to tell Quentin Fields, one of his players how proud he was of him but couldn’t because of the excitement of seeing head coach Lucas Scott back from his sabbatical. “Well, I would see him tomorrow”, he told Luke. Little Jamie Lucas Scott asked his mom Haley to make a cape for his friend Quentin. After days of making the cape, she finally told her son the cape would ready the following day and would be giving to Q. Quentin Fields told his teammates he would be the first to get to training the following day. He also assured Nathan Scott he would meet him at Rivercourt the following morning to help him (Nathan) with his recovery and what he called comeback for Nathan. *********************** It was in the middle of the night; head coach Lucas Scott was sleeping when he got a call, just like his assistant Antwon Taylor. Few minutes later, Antwon was at his house asking if he got any call and if it were true. Well, it was, the call was real. Quentin Field

WHILE YOU CAN

There is this particular saying that you don’t know the value of what you have until you lose it. So I was wondering, is it that we don’t know the value or we do but simply take it for granted or is it both? Anyone with gold might know its worth and yet decides to play with it belongs to the second category, such person took it for granted. Now let’s take a deeper look at it. How do you know the value of something when it has already been lost? Definitely someone must have told you its worth when you had it or after you lost it or you simply felt its impact because you no longer have it. So if someone has already told its worth when you had it can we say you didn’t know the value? Hell no, that means you belongs to the second category. You knew it ’cause someone told you yet took it for granted or was it taken from you? It makes no difference even if it was. Now, to the first category. Those that lost something due to ignorance of it. It make little or no difference, the point i

HAPPINESS

My younger sister came home from school one day and she was reciting a poem. She was so happy reciting it, in fact, she recited it all day. I later discovered her teacher had told her and her classmates that they all should be happy because they deserved it. Here’s the poem: “Happiness is a good commodity The more you give The more you have Happiness” Do we all deserve to be happy? Is happiness for each and every one of us? I’ve been asking myself these questions recently and I finally found answers to it. Well, my answer is YES. Yes we do. We all deserve to be happy and happiness is for everyone irrespective of your age, status and gender. Your past doesn’t matter, you deserve to be happy. Now and forever. “Sometimes pain becomes such a huge part of your life that you expect it to always be there, because you can’t remember a time in your life when it wasn’t. But then one day you feel something else, something that feels wrong, only because it’s so unfamiliar. And in that

NOW IS THE TIME

You ever wonder how long it takes to change your life? What measure of time is enough to be life-altering? Is it six years, like high school? Four years, like university? One year? A sixteen-week semester? Can your life change in a month, a week or a single day? Do you ever wonder if you make the moments in your life or if the moments in your life make you? Haley James Scott asked her class a question in One Tree Hill 5x02 and it stroked me, so here I am asking you the same. Do you understand that the rest of your life is being shaped right now? Well, I hate to tell you, the rest of your life is a long time and whether you like it or not, it’s being shaped right now. Where are you presently? What’s the situation like with you? Are you going to allow your present define/affect your future? Where do you see yourself in the next five years? Have your future been mapped out? By you or by someone else? What are those things you see yourself doing? Where do you see yourself doing it

FIRST IMPRESSION

It is often said that books should not be judged by their cover but a fact remains that if the book cover is not inviting, who would want to read?. An impression is an effect produced on the senses, mind or emotions. Something that denotes an engraved mark or figure. So I’m just like everybody, I listen to MUSIC but I’m not like everyone when it comes to my taste in music. I’m the LYRICAL guy. I don’t really care about the beat (funny though as I seem to be at least a decent dancer) but the LYRICS. Give me a good music with amazing lyrics and you just see what follows. Guess that’s why I’m into Westlife, One Direction, Gavin DeGraw, Aunty Bukky (ASA), Adele etc., (though one or twice they deviate but at least 80% goes). So my cousin asked me; “Egbon do you have XYZ song by ABC on your system” and I told him I don’t. What followed was simply hilarious. He told me the song was the latest and “hottest” (according to him) in town, he explained that virtually everybody was listenin

YOUR VALENTINE TREATS

Dedicating this to those in love, those who are searching for love, and to those that are not thinking about love (may you give love a chance). NB:  There are three different posts here, the first for the ladies (you know ladies first), the second for the guys and the third for all. IF A MAN WANTS YOU… If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn’t want you, nothing can make him stay. Stop making excuses for a man and his behaviour. Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache. Stop trying to change yourselves for a relationship that’s not meant to be. Slower is better. Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy. If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve. Then heck no, you can’t be friends. A friend wouldn’t mistreat a friend. Don’t settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along. Then he probably is. Don’t stay because you think “it will get better”. You’ll be mad at

DEFILING THE ODDS TO ACHIEVE GREATNESS

The more your age the more your experience and experience, they say is the best teacher. The more your age the more mature you’ll be (well, not in so many cases). The more maturity you possess. First let’s talk sport. AGE!!! They say wine gets better with age, but not the same in sports. Footballers (goalkeepers excluded) are said to reach their peak between age twenty-seven (27) and thirty-one (31). That’s a very demanding age for footballers. After 31 years, a footballer gets to experience lesser playing times, injuries at this point becomes crisis; in fact, signing a contract extension with clubs turns problems at this time. (Except if you are Andrea Pirlo, Ryan Giggsy, Javier Zanetti, Paul Scholes, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the likes. these some actually did gets better with their age). Why is that so? It’s because the body starts to take effects at this points, competing with a fellow youngster becomes tougher and even the coach starts to think about the future. THE SPIRIT IND

LETTER TO MY BABES

What a delicate masterpiece you are! Your composition is super classical, even the sons of God (fallen angels) could not resist you. Even God wasn’t satisfied until He has made you. The material for your make-up wasn’t just dust or clay, you were made from a refined product; A MAN’S RIB! When a rib is broken, it affects breathing, how much more when it is removed?! And that is significant to me. You were not from a man’s foot to be trodden, nor from his head to control him but from his heart to inspire him and keep him alive. When 1 st Peter 3:7 says a woman is a weaker vessel, it doesn’t mean you are inferior…, it means you are delicate and fragile. You can’t be thrown around, you can’t be mishandled. Most often, delicate materials are more expensive! When God was done making you, He wrapped you with a warning: FRAGILE! HANDLE WITH CARE . Physically fragile but internally strong! Who has a job, cook, clean the house, handles the laundry and takes care of her kids? Who has to

JUST DO IT

You can't pick a rose without risking being pricked by its thorns. But a rose is still worth the risk. You can't get honey without risking being stung by bees. But the honey is still worth it. You can't taste victory without risking the disappointment of losing. But the contest is still worth it. You can't have a successful business without the risk of it not working. But giving it a try is still worth it. You can't go on a great adventure without the risk of getting lost or failing in your quest. But that's no reason to stay at home. You can't love someone without the risk of rejection. But where would we be without LOVE? It might be a long road, but believe me it’s worth it. What do you need to risk today? Yesterday you said tomorrow REMEMBER NIKE? JUST DO IT! BECAUSE IT'S WORTH IT.

MAKE THE BEST OF YEAR 2017

Tips to make the best of year 2017... May we all have a successful YEAR... 1. Know what you want. Maybe you have a talent you have longed to express and develop. If not, you probably know how you would like to be experiencing your life- perhaps with more happiness, better communications with the ones you love, greater fulfilment in your work. Knowing is deeper and stronger than wishful thinking or hoping. It is a conviction so solid that you can base your life on it. Quote : “There are three things extremely hard: steel, a diamond, and to know one's self.” Benjamin Franklin. 2. Engage with your intention. Daily nurture your vision- see, feel, hear how you will be experiencing the fulfilment of the life you want, both inwardly and in the world. Use your imagination. 3. Practice your passion - take action If you have a talent, keep working with it. If you would like to be happier, do things that make you happy. Better communications? Be willing to learn, practise,
