DEFILING THE ODDS TO ACHIEVE GREATNESS

The more your age the more your experience and experience, they say is the best teacher. The more your age the more mature you’ll be (well, not in so many cases). The more maturity you possess.
First let’s talk sport.
AGE!!! They say wine gets better with age, but not the same in sports. Footballers (goalkeepers excluded) are said to reach their peak between age twenty-seven (27) and thirty-one (31). That’s a very demanding age for footballers. After 31 years, a footballer gets to experience lesser playing times, injuries at this point becomes crisis; in fact, signing a contract extension with clubs turns problems at this time. (Except if you are Andrea Pirlo, Ryan Giggsy, Javier Zanetti, Paul Scholes, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the likes. these some actually did gets better with their age). Why is that so? It’s because the body starts to take effects at this points, competing with a fellow youngster becomes tougher and even the coach starts to think about the future. THE SPIRIT INDEED IS WILLING, BUT THE FLESH IS WEAK.
Enough of football, let’s get to my point. In tennis (a sport where your flaws would not be covered by your teammates because you are all alone), you start losing your ground when you reach thirty (30). Running around the court chasing the small ball with your racket becomes difficult. I’ve noticed recent grand slam winners were youths. Reigning tennis stars are still 30 or less (Novak Djukovic, Rafael Nadal, and last year champion Andy Murray).
But there is a man, yeah the man ROGER FEDERER.

This man despite his age has always been in the mix. Beat him now and he’ll rise the next; He has never stay on the ground dwelling on his loss to any player, instead he rises to better his previous self. ROGER FEDERER: winner of the first grand slam of the year (THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN) at age thirty-five (35). This guy, sorry, this man is just a phenomenal. The Swiss wizard is just incredible and extraordinary. Him alongside Tiger Woods, Serena Williams (Bae, don’t tell her I called her that and another example of a fine old wine) are just few of my favourite sportsmen/women. An example to all is this Swiss genius, roger Federer is the man.
The good book further affirms that "the strength of the youth are in the number of their days"

How old are you?
Who says you cannot make it? Who say you cannot do it? Are you finding it hard right now? Maybe people have already written you off. Are you even low on self-esteem? Are you feeling inferior to others? You were born great, and different to others. You are unique in your own way. You are amazing. You are special. You are exceptional. You are matchless. Discover yourself and don’t lie flat after falling, rise up to the challenges. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back in the saddle. It is not over yet and I see you getting closer. You’ve got it all, just believe it. Nobody is going to do it for you. Raise your head high because I believe in you.
Believe in yourself, you will be unstoppable.

YOU CAN DO IT, YES YOU CAN.
